Mayson Grunewald, Golf Pro

The Dawson Creek Golf Course welcomes the smiling face of Mayson Grunewald for the 2023 season. Mayson joined the Dawson Creek Golf Course in 2013 and has been promoted to the Acting General Manager this year (2023).

For those that do not know, Mayson is a Dawson Creek local who discovered his passion for the game in 2014. Mayson began working towards his Golf Pro certification in 2020.

Growing up, Mayson loved anything sports-related. He played soccer, mountain biked, and went skiing which took up a majority of his time. It wasn't until he began working at the Dawson Creek Golf Course that he discovered his passion for golf.

Mayson has shot 64 twice, and he is inching towards beating the course record of 62. He tries to play in all local Men's Opens when time permits and consistently places amongst the top golfers.

The Pro Shop in Dawson Creek, carries all the major name brands from Nike, Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, Cleveland Golf, Callaway etc. Since Mayson in a fan of playing golf, he also is an avid watcher of the tour events. While doing this, he has the opportunity to identify the best sellers and best quality in new drivers, putters, irons, wedges and utility woods.
